Heart of the Hearth

It's a naturally heart-shaped chicken fillet that resulted from a random butterfly cut. That inspired me to give it a cozy, homely, and casual handcrafted feel. I didn’t try to make it smooth or symmetrical—I kept it rustic and natural. The uneven sprinkles and simply cut cucumber enhance the comfort, just like the warmth of home and love. The spiral lemon represents the continuity of freshness that we cherish in love. Finally, the rustic plate reflects the imperfections of our everyday life, which make us more vibrant and noticeable. Altogether, I tried to portray homely love.
