Participation Guidelines
Participants across Bangladesh are invited to showcase their food plating skills through online submissions.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the competition, participants must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry
- Open to individuals of any profession
- Participants must be of Bangladeshi nationality
- Is of sound mind and health
- Does not have any criminal conviction
- Participant must not have any existing obligations that prevent them from joining the show or similar events
Registration
To register in the “Akij Tableware – Art of Plating”
- One must share their name
- One must share their phone number
- One must share their email address
- One must share their address
Submission
- Each participant can submit multiple entries with different dishes.
- All submissions must be original; no plagiarism is allowed.
- One must submit photos of their plated dishes via online portal along with the details.
- One can upload upto 5 photos for a single entry.
- The photos should include both top and side views. Additionally, we recommend including an image of the participant holding the completed dish to demonstrate originality; however, this is not mandatory.
- Participants are encouraged to use plates from Akij Tableware for plating to enhance presentation, although it is not mandatory.
Judging Criteria
Participants will be judged on the following criteria
- Aesthetics & Creativity (20%): Visual appeal and originality, including creative arrangement, colors, and textures.
- Techniques (20%): Proficiency in culinary methods and precise handling of tools and equipment.
- Ingredient Mix (20%): Selection and harmony of ingredients and garnishes to enhance flavor.
- Composure (20%): Ability to stay calm, organized, and professional under pressure.
- Culinary Understanding (20%): Knowledge of culinary principles, techniques, and flavor profiles.
- Excelling in these areas will lead to higher scores.
