বাঙালিয়ানা
The beauty of Bangladeshi cuisine lies in its simplicity and the art of preservation. This plate demonstrates how Bengalis have always experimented with food, often discovering new dishes serendipitously. Bele Maacher Jhuri, traditionally made by frying leftover fish with lemon leaves for added flavor and aroma, is featured here. Also showcased is Shutki Bhuna, a specialty of the southern coastal regions. "Shutki" refers to fish preserved through a unique fermentation process. The third dish is a flat bean curry. This entirely Bengali platter is a perfectly balanced, protein-rich meal. Just add rice, and it's complete!
